Aaron Kubala (@aaronkubala) embodies everything we love about trail running. He’s curious, tough, generous — and just wild enough to believe a 300-mile solo run across the desert sounds like a good time. Whether he’s chasing an FKT, pacing a friend through the night, or composing music inspired by his time on the trail (yes, really), Aaron moves through the world with intention and joy.

His ultra journey started strong, landing a third-place finish at Moab 240 in his first-ever 200-miler. After that, he won The Speed Project LALV (a 300-mile relay from LA to Vegas) and setting a course record by nearly 10 hours. Most recently, he crossed Chile’s high-altitude Atacama Desert on foot, capturing the experience in an introspective documentary that blended reflections of his journey with his love of piano.
But Aaron’s not just chasing records and podiums. He’s helping build and grow the sport. Last year he paced over 300 miles across six different races to support both new and seasoned athletes.
“I want to help drive the belief that these multi-day journeys are available to everyone, and with the right approach and training a thoroughly achievable endeavor.”
Up next? Aaron’s taking on the Triple Crown of 200s — Tahoe 200, Bigfoot 200, and Moab 240 — with a goal to win and set course records across the board.

We’re thrilled to welcome Aaron to the East Peak team — not just as an athlete, but as a co-creator. He’s already played a key role in product testing and development, and he’s just getting started.
“I share very similar values with East Peak in terms of a belief in the power of running and of a community-first approach to it. I'm thrilled to partner with a brand that aligns with my ethos and vision and excited to help develop some technical products that can help take my racing to the next level.”
Aaron shares our belief that trail running isn’t just about getting from A to B — it’s about joy, connection, and discovering who you are in the wild places in between. That’s the kind of spirit we build for. And the kind of partner we’re proud to grow with.
At East Peak, we want to evolve the traditional brand–athlete relationship. Today’s athletes are storytellers, product testers, and community leaders. And for a small, values-driven brand like ours, we want more than just visibility — we want insight, authenticity, and creative partnership.
That’s why we’re building something more collaborative. Our athlete partnerships center on collaboration, creativity, and shared ownership. We invite athletes into the design process and offering equity and royalties on gear we build together.
